Dallas — Best points-per-yard conversion (28.5 PPG on only 288 YPG). Very pass-leaning: rush rate 37.5%, rush attempts 7.5 below league average.
Carolina — High-scoring (35.5 PPG) and a fast pace (27.3 sec/play). Also pass-heavy (37.3% rush, +5.5 pass att vs avg).
Buffalo — Volume and efficiency (38.5 PPG, 427.5 YPG). Near-even script (48.7% rush). Big home rush spike (HA rush att 1.71).
Indianapolis — Efficient on modest yardage (26.5 PPG / 290 YPG). Neutral pass volume; they run more on the road (HA rush 0.63).
Minnesota — Lowest YPG in the top 5 (242.5), but they are turning those yards into points, and they are the most run-oriented efficient team (58.5% rush, pass att 9.5 below avg). Home/away efficiency split is extreme (HA_EFF 4.42) on a 39–9 scoring split.
Atlanta (32) — 8.0 PPG is the league floor. They still run a lot (53.9% rush, +4.5 rush att vs avg) without the points.
LA Rams (31) — Yardage is there (385.5 YPG) but scoring is not (17.5 PPG). Balanced activity, much better efficiency at home (HA_EFF 2.03).
Miami (30) — Low scoring, below-average attempts both ways. No home sample yet.
New England (29) — 15 PPG on 302 YPG. Slightly run-leaning; more efficient at home (HA_EFF 1.69).
Denver (28) — Slow pace (32.6 sec/play) and low rush volume (−5.5 vs avg). They ran almost twice as much at home (HA rush 1.87).
Heaviest rush volume: Chicago +8.0 vs avg (35.0 att, 52.2% rush), Kansas City +6.5, Las Vegas / NY Jets +6.0. Chicago’s efficiency is mid-pack because the home game was a 3-point dud (HA_EFF 0.10).
Heaviest pass volume: Houston +15.5 pass att (47.0/g, only 34.7% rush), New Orleans +13.5, Pittsburgh +9.0, Detroit +7.0. Houston and Pittsburgh are both stuck in the bottom third of efficiency — lots of throws, not enough points.
Most run-oriented scripts: Minnesota 58.5%, Seattle 55.4%, Atlanta 53.8%, Las Vegas 52.8%, Chicago 52.2%.
Most pass-oriented scripts: Houston 34.7% rush, Pittsburgh 35.2%, Green Bay 35.5%, New Orleans 36.6%, Carolina / Dallas ~37%.
Home/away efficiency is noisy at 1–2 games. Treat Pittsburgh 6.44 and Minnesota 4.42 (and Chicago 0.10) as sample-size flags, not stable true talent.
Small-sample caveat: every team has 1–2 games. Last-3 deviation columns will stay flat until Week 4.
